Metziner on the self: Being no-one

This is an excellent lecture by Thomas Metzinger on the self: being no-one. I studied him last year and so his ideas have been quite influencial on my own. When I get time I will right a blog on the self. Untill then I would recommend this: http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-3658963188758918426

I am not a philosophy student but I am interested especially in the philosophy of mind. I watched the video a few times over the last couple of months and I started Metzinger's book a while ago. I would very much appreciate if you could discuss his ideas further since many aspects are still hard to grasp for me.

I am also kind of discussing this topic in another forum and having a hard time explaining his ideas so that everyone understands it. So maybe you can find better words.

Thanks, I am looking forward to this topic.

Nice blog Jack, even if we do appear to disagree with one another on the little issue of whether or not machines can think!

I've added you to my blogroll, and will mention you in a post soon.
